"Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13).
For some people, prayer is a thing they do. But for others, prayer is nothing less than life itself. I could not live without daily communication with my Heavenly Father. The more time I spend in His presence, the more I am changed. You will be amazed how much your life will change as you commune with God. You must develop a strong relationship with God and that can only happen as you spend time with Him in prayer and meditation on the word of God.
Too many Christians have allowed prayer and fellowship with God on a daily basis to be lost from their list of priorities. One survey reported that the average Christian spends less than two minutes of every twenty-four hours in prayer. May the Holy Spirit call you deep in your heart to spend quality time with Him daily.
Prayer is a God enabling act of believers that produces miracles, life, joy and peace. As people of God spend time in prayer, He will move and bring aid to everything they have need of. Always know that real life changing faith is connected to knowing God intimately. Paul the Apostle said in 2 Timothy 1:12, "I know whom I have believed..." Paul did not say "I know what" He said "I know whom." The more we fellowship in prayer with God, the more our faith becomes unshakable. My confidence in God's word comes from my relationship with Him. Faith and fellowship with God are inseparable.
In my life, I have seen God answer so many prayers. But all these answered prayers have happened because of knowing God through fellowship and communion. If your prayer life is dry and powerless, maybe you need to spend more time communing with God. His presence in my daily life makes all the difference in my prayer life. Again, the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:10, "For my determined purpose is that I may know Him." This must be the foundation of powerful prayers that change people and things.
